The committee of DISEC is currently in shambles. Once expected to pitch amazing ideas to resolve the Israel-Palestine conflict, they now face the Iraq-US conflict and test the resolve of their struggling chairs.
Their opening speeches started with a BANG as the delegation of the United Kingdom wished to be moved down from the list of opening speeches. Their mediocre beginning ranged from the Egypt delegate saying that he was "full of joy" and "excited for this MUN" to the delegate of Italy taking barely half the speech time. The quality further degraded after multiple instances of delegates refusing to join speaking lists, after repeated requests from the chair. After that, the handful who spoke even once talked only about 'stopping arms proliferation' and 'a two step solution', which after one hour of unenthusiastic, monotonous snoozefests led to 0 actual solutions. Lack of participation from the main delegations involved (Israel and Palestine) took place, with the delegate of Israel stating "I'm just listening". Instead a far more drawn out battle between USA and Iraq occurred, each on completely opposing sides with arguments weaker than Egypt's opening stance. A blatant lack of knowledge regarding the ROP was shown from Japan calling a question to the dais a point of personal privilege all the way to Ukraine voting twice while voting for a caucus.
If this is the quality of the people trying to save the Israeli and Palestinian citizens, it would be an argument convincing enough to make the terrorists laugh and leave out of pity. Instead of sizzling hot debate with embers of competition, the committee sits beside the ashes of a fireplace, waiting for their Prometheus.

my dear low willed, dim-witted fiends.... you do realise that you can't be moved down in the opening speeches as they are in a particlar order.... this is only possible in GSLs..... like mentioned, you dont move down only if you aren't prepared, as a matter of fact, some chairs advice us to.
the person who wrote this... its 2 state solution, not 2 step. it is splitting Israel and Palestine, though i think your brain is too small to understand that

my buttery smooth bubble wrap brained friends in the press... I hope you do realise that moving down in the GSL just means that you get more time to prepare a better stance... it allows you to raise POIs and factual inaccuracies. Its very evident in the text that your braincells dont come in pairs... but hey man... its alright, after all, its not like the press does their research.... clearly shown in the writing and text The press is indeed unfortunate -Delegate of UK
