It seemed that the US Senate really cannot curb the audacious behaviors exhibited by their senators, namely Senator Georges Loyd Spencer. During an interview, she exhibited extremely vile behavior and started disrespecting the press delegates and agency. She even had the gall to ASK press delegates questions!
When she was asked about the amount of swearing in her speeches, she got flustered and stated that she provided “SeVeRaL uSeFuL iNpUtS” and used foul language as a means to gAiN aTtRaCtIoN. Surely a responsible country must have a different, more civilized method of attracting attention? It seems not.
She was asked about her active role in the bombardment of Japan when she had been vouching for the emotional welfare of the US citizens just yesterday, she stated that they would divide the tasks and didn’t think of elaborating. When we asked how, she agitatedly stated, “you may be Chinese, but we are the US''.
Is this how the US should be talking about China, the very country they had been seeking support from? Perhaps they should revise their tactics in strengthening diplomatic relations with other countries.
Excusing such an outrageous comment, we pinpointed on her hypocrisy of how she kept shouting during her speeches despite telling another delegate that his loud speech wouldn’t make him smart, and she replied that she had “smart points unlike him”.
This prompted us to ask whether she admitted that several delegates were incompetent and she remained SILENT for quite a while before answering, “not really, every senator has their own weaknesses and strengths”. Does this mean that the US Senate is really this incompetent that a senator couldn’t deny their ineptitude?
It is a pity for the US citizens to be led by such controversial and unprofessional senators. The US has truly failed them and us as well, and this interview has been proof of that. Riddhima Das,
