Minister of Defence? More like Minister of Offence

Is NAIRA’s minister of defence on a mission to be the most-hated delegate in MUN history?

“Minister of Offence” better describes his title, with his defining personality trait being his ability to get offended at every three words spoken during the committee session. During the delegate of Uzbekistan’s speech, he was interrupted not once, but TWICE by a loud, annoying “right to reply!” from the minister. He doesn’t realise that his delegation refers to the defence of his nation, not the defence of his precious arguments or his fragile ego.

When asked to explain his atrocious behaviour, he replied, “he offended me!” How did the delegate of Uzbekistan offend him, you ask? By saying his name of course! That’s a perfectly valid reason to be offended. Everyone gets offended when you refer to them by name. Right?

After the delegate’s speech, the minister was just itching to open his mouth and bless the committee with more sacred words. Asked once again about what exactly offended him, his whiny response was “he deliberately mentioned the things in my working papers and my speeches.”

Minister, you are not the one being offended; you are the one BEING OFFENSIVE. For the sake of your committee, grow up.
