Please, please, please…don’t make me pay taxes.

William Langer, the Senator of North Dakota, is a delegate of many words. Unfortunately, most of these words were used to repeat one point: NO INCREASING TAXES.

HUSS spent its first committee session debating responses to Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbour. While the investments in defences, offensive counterstrikes and even atomic bombs were discussed, Senator Langer made it her sole mission to refute all ideas with, “you think we have the funds to do that?” The session saw Senator Langer make no valuable contribution to the committee, instead turning into a broken record spewing the same complaint.

The only thing Langer accomplished is illustrating her contempt for her own senate, proclaiming “how do they (US citizens) have any trust in the government anymore?” It’s a worrying sign for the Senator’s (future) therapist that she is so convinced of her righteousness, speaking for 130+ million citizens.

The Senator has forgotten to consider that her beloved US citizens might appreciate quick, decisive action over unreasonable, melodramatic, uber-righteous complaining; lest another Pearl Harbor be on the horizon.

No rush, Senator Langer. We already know you like to waste valuable time.
