UNSC, the committee that is known to be an advanced committee, had the greatest flop MUN has ever seen. It seemed that the committee’s only agenda to discuss was Qatari human rights and the torture carried outby Chinese dictatorships, and this discussion took not one, but TWO DAYS. Multiple delegates stated that they were unable to even begin on their Second Agenda. The problem is, this was not on ANY of the agendas. The main issues to be discussed such as the threat posed by the Yemeni Houthis and the South American drug war, were given importance only AFTER the discussion about Qatari human rights. When asked about this in the press conference, they said they needed “iNsPiRaTiOn” to act on other issues, but this certainly did not inspire the committee as they were moving at a snail’s pace to pass resolutions to problems which WERE ON THE AGENDA. The UNSC community gave BBC reporters along with Al Jazeera the most entertaining press conferences. UNSC delegates disagreed when reporters asked them about admitting their incompetence but their reply was,” It’s not exactly.”
Will the committee improve its pace of proposing solutions to the major issues at hand, or will they AGAIN go back to discussing QATARI HUMAN RIGHTS?

"Will the committee improve its pace of proposing solutions to the major issues at hand, or will they AGAIN go back to discussing QATARI HUMAN RIGHTS?" So apparently Human Rights is not a major issue for this reporter
