Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) is a committee where nations work together to achieve a resolution to many conflicts and issues. The DISEC assembly discusses and debates numerous subjects to maintain international peace and security. However, the same cannot be said when there is a delegate like the delegate of Iran in the committee.
The delegate of Iran had no input towards this issue. Funnily, the only input that was received was a point of personal privilege that asked the Dias to use the restroom, showing the astounding commitment of this aspiring delegate and the measures taken towards this serious situation. The delegate of Iran was using social media throughout the session had no Points of Information and took part in no General Speakers Lists(GSL). The delegate of Iran seemed to be having a very important discussion on her cellular device and kept her cellular device on the Macbook, making it seem like she was paying attention. If she used the same brains to contribute to the committee, she could win “best delegate.” Perhaps the conversation the delegate of Iran was having on her cellular device was more important than the prospect of proposing feasible solutions.
The delegate of Iran seemed highly interested in looking at other people's Instagram stories. Seems like the delegate of Iran has worked tremendously and implemented their opinion in so many GSLs that Iran wishes not to talk. Awesome work and measures provided by the delegate of Iran! The delegate of Iran proves why DISEC is not the committee it is supposed to be. The fact that an incompetent delegate is a part of DISEC, reflects poorly on the entire committee and makes one question the ability of DISEC to come up with feasible solutions.
