WHO: World's Hopeless Organization

The World Health Organisation (WHO) is meant to serve as an effective, swift committee able to make quick decisions to save the lives of a myriad of people. However, the same cannot be said for this seemingly novel yet downgraded version of WHO. The incompetency and the lack of awareness in WHO glimmered throughout the multitude of committee sessions. First of all, the delegate of Nigeria failed to answer simple questions from the other delegates and did not frame his answers properly. The inability to answer simple questions is gravely concerning, considering the fact that a myriad of lives depend on the WHO. Moreover, his blatant grammatical errors riddled his speech explaining his inability to voice his ineffective solutions and his knowledge, albeit very little, on the topic. If a delegate cannot answer questions on his statements, then how can he ever come up with effective, feasible solutions for the issue at hand? When asked about the funding of NGOs from other financially stable countries, he contradicted his statement and aroused confusion(which is good for WHO considering their low standards and expectations). The Delegate of Nigeria beat around the bush and came to his ridiculously flawed argument after the intervention of the chairs. The inability to come to a logical, concise response despite the guidance of the chair, really makes one question the role of such a delegate in a supposed intermediate committee. In fact, this delegate may create history by forcing everyone to create a new classification for WHO below “beginner.”

Moving on to the committee as a whole and how they exemplify a complete mess, a myriad of the delegates failed to follow decorum and spoke without raising their placards. Is this the behaviour an “intermediate committee,” displays? Thus, the coined full-form “World’s Hopeless Organization,” aptly describes the deplorable state of the committee. The lack of decorum, amongst many other flaws, provides an insight into how successful this committee will be.
